What's up Tik Tok ?

TikTok has announced new features to help brands advertise on its social media platform. And as we’ve been encouraging you to do for several months now, TikTok is THE platform to incorporate into your marketing strategy.

On September 28, the first edition of TikTok World took place, an event aimed at brands and professionals looking to capitalize on the opportunities offered by the social network.

Now that the platform has surpassed1 billion monthly users, TikTok aims to maximize revenue from its audience through new ways to collaborate with influencers, run ads, and boost e-commerce.

Goal: To facilitate collaboration between influencers and brands

By introducing tools for networking and content creation, TikTok aims to make it easier for brands to connect with its influencers. How?

TikTok Creator Marketplace

The social media platform announced an update to "TikTok Creator Marketplace", the platform dedicated to collaborations between businesses and content creators on TikTok. Among other things, it allows users to discover influencers who are willing to run promotional campaigns for brands.

The TikTok Creator Marketplacewill therefore make it easier for businesses and influencers to connect, with an improved filtering system (type of post sought, influencer’s location, average number of views, etc.). The platform now offers more performance tracking metrics to help you better analyze your marketing campaigns.

TikTok is also announcing the“Open Application Campaigns” feature, which allows companies to share their campaign briefs and influencers to apply directly by offering their services.

At the same time, the social media platform also launched“TikTok Creative Exchange, a portal that connects users with creative service providers to help businesses produce more effective ads.

New Options for E-commerce

After integratingproduct purchases into its platform, the social media platform is introducingTikTok Shopping, a suite of features designed to promote e-commerce. The social media platform has announced new partnerships with Shopify, Square, Ecwid, and Prestashop.

Among the new features:

  • Product Links:Businesses can promote products within an organic TikTok video by directing viewers to product pages,
  • Live Shopping:During a live session, brands can share dynamic links in real time that redirect to products or services,
  • Ads Collections:You can include custom product listings in your ads,
  • Dynamic Showcase Ads (DSA):Brands can automatically promote products based on users’ interests—which are determined by their activity on the social network—similar to retargeting.
