For the past few days, even weeks, our LinkedIn and Facebook news feeds have been inundated with people telling us they're on Clubhouse (there's even a hint of pride behind it). So, I might as well warn you right now: put away your Saturday-night fever and your frilled shirts, this isn't a trendy new hangout. That said, Clubhouse is a bit of a select network... You can only get in by presenting your invitation card... And that's what makes it so successful: you always want what you can't have easily, and the designers understand that. But do we really want to be in the VIP corner of this audio-based social network?

Well, to access the Grail, you need to be on Iphone. When you're invited to this network, you register with your phone number, which enables you to create your profile. You can then access rooms and join clubs.
Let's skip the profile creation, login, etc. aspect, which is more or less the same as all the other networks, and take a look at what's possible.
Create a room
Once you've created your VIP card and star profile, you'll want to create a space for discussion with the crème de la crème, the elite - in short, a room of the chosen few.
You can choose between a room open to all, a "social" room where only your subscribers can log in, and a "private" room where you choose who to invite.
By clicking on the "+Add a Topic" button, you can give your room a title. After that, validate and your room will be live, and you'll be able to start your conversation.
Planning a room
You can also choose to create an appointment, such as a webinar, and invite your contacts to attend. Once created, your guests will receive a notification to participate in your event.
Why Clubhouse?
First of all, we'd be tempted to say: because it's new and potentially ephemeral. Originally, this social network was created to bring together web influencers and major investors from the prestigious Silicon Valley. The aim was to bring these 2 categories of people together to talk business. And as we said earlier, even if the target group has expanded, access is still VIP ... Others have tried before them and fallen flat on their faces (We know what they say ... ).
Next, we wanted to test Clubhouse for its audio content. It's the first social network to offer podcast audio content. And when you consider that audio is becoming increasingly important to consumers, it's worth taking a look and giving it a listen.
In our opinion - and we're not the only ones to think so - Clubhouse deserves to be tested, but you certainly don't need to concentrate all your efforts on deploying a marketing strategy via this channel. Of course, the platform's users are unanimously enthusiastic, but that's just us - it's probably the effect of new products, and it's a safe bet that it's all just a flash in the pan.
In short, if you're invited to test Clubhouse, go for it (and don't hesitate to give us your feedback), but if you don't get an invitation or you're on Android, don't curl up in the fetal position under your comforter.
